Running for the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering board is a great way to get more involved on campus. You will gain valuable leadership skills, and help to enrich other students’ academic experience. This is also a great way to get to know other IE peers, and network with industry professionals.   • Provide a semester long vision for the chapter.

  • Promote organizational growth and professionalism.

  • Communicate and collaborate with IE faculty and MIE Industry Advisory Board.

  • Manage Executive Board members.

  • *Must have served a full term on IISE Executive Board

Vice President

  • In charge of outreach and Budd{IE}s Mentor/Mentee Program.

  • Assists the president in day-to-day tasks

  • Oversee Freshman Representatives.


  • Keep record of meeting minutes.

  • Maintain current membership roster.

  • General administrative duties.

Programming Director

  • Responsible for planning and execution of Chapter programs.

  • Works with President and Vice President to recruit speakers for chapter meetings.

  • Organizes plant tours.


  • Responsible of collection of dues, keeping and maintaining Chapter financial books, and allocation of Chapter funds.

  • Coordinates corporate sponsorship.

  • Organizes Lean/Six Sigma Certification classes.

Conference Director

  • Responsible for outreach and logistics of attending the IISE Southeastern Regional Conference (Auburn, 2020)

Public Relations Director

  • Responsible for maintaining the Chapter website and social media accounts.

  • Advertises Chapter events.

  • Designs and distributes IE merchandise.
